Day 2, Sunday: Visit Takhini Hot Springs and flightseeing
Today we'll show you the capital of the Yukon and the surroundings to give you a first impression of this wonderful country: During the city tour you'll see the old train station of the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad, the Log Skyscraper, old Log Church and the paddle wheeler SS Klondike. We'll also show you some residential areas and we'll stop at the Visitors Reception Centre. On the way to the Takhini Hot Springs we'll stop at the Wildlife Preserve where you'll see most of the wildlife seen in the Yukon, such as Moose, Caribou, Bison, Dall Sheep, Big Horn Sheep, Musk Oxen and others. Lunch at Takhini Hot Springs and time for a leisurely swim in the hot waters. After our return to Whitehorse you will participate in a 20 minute sightseeing flight over the Whitehorse area with beautiful views over Lake Labarge and Marsh Lake.

Day 3, Monday: Snow Shoeing in Kluane National Park
Kluane National Park is our destination for the day and snowshoeing the chosen activity. We will drive west on the world famous Alaska Highway and will reach Haines Junction in about two hours. Just outside the town we'll start our trek on the beautiful Auriol Trail. Since we'll be slower on our snowshoes we will head out at leisure, have a lunch break amidst a gorgeous winter wonderland and return to our van. In Haines Junction we will break for coffee and a visit to the Kluane National Park Visitor Centre before heading back to Whitehorse.

Day 4, Tuesday: Visit Atlin, ice fishing and hiking
Today’s excursion will be to Atlin in northern BC, on the shores of the lake with the same name. This community may only be reached from the Yukon. Weather and snow conditions permitting we’ll walk up Monarch Mountain to a viewpoint over Atlin Lake, Theresa Island and the glaciers of the Coast Mountains. Lunch will be served at the local hotel. After time to explore the picturesque town on your own, we’ll drive back to Whitehorse. We’ll stop at a lake en route to try our luck fishing through the ice before we’ll return to the hotel.

Day 5, Wednesday: Snowmobiling Adventure Day
This is the day for our snowmobiling adventure: Our van will take us up to Fish Lake, just over half an hour away from the hotel. Here we'll get our instructions about snowmobile safety and any further instructions we'll need and off we are across the lake and into some of the most beautiful mountains you may imagine! Lunch will be served on the trail and by late afternoon we will return to Whitehorse.

Day 6, Thursday: Visit Skagway and Carcross
Today we will spend an easy day visiting Skagway in Alaska. From Whitehorse we will drive south and stop at Emerald Lake for a photo stop even though the normally emerald colored lake is frozen over at this time of the year. Carcross will be our first stop. We will visit the small town with predominantly First Nations People and we will walk across the railroad bridge and back over the small pedestrian bridge. We will then continue along Windy Arm and Tutshi Lake to White Pass, the border between Canada and Alaska. From here we will descend to sea level in 23Km / 14 miles. Visit the port and town of Skagway and break for lunch. Weather and conditions permitting we'll hike to a small lake above the town with a great view over the harbour and the town. By mid afternoon we'll return to Whitehorse in time for dinner.

Day 7, Friday: Dog sledding day
Another highlight of this tour will be this full day dog sledding tour along the Takhini River and into the Ibex Valley west of Whitehorse. First we will be introduced to the many dogs and instructions will be given about mushing and safety on the trail. Then we will be assigned our team of from 4 to 6 dogs and off we go! We will follow well prepared trails and our guides will make sure that we are always in control of our teams. Lunch will be served along the trail when both, we and the dogs need a well deserved break. By late afternoon we will return to the kennel for a mug of coffee or hot chocolate before we will return to the hotel.

Day 8 Sat: Departure
You will start your next adventure in the Yukon or we’ll bring you to the airport in time for your flight home.
